Design Code

AECOM* has been commissioned to provide design support to Wendron Parish
Council. To do this the firm have worked with the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group to produce the ‘Wendron Neighbourhood Plan Design Codes and Guidelines’. This document has been produced to inform new residential (only) development proposed in the Wendron Parish Neighbourhood Area. It presents a summary of the key characteristics which make this a special place to live and visit and this information is used to inform specific Design Codes and Guidelines which promote sustainable development and guide best practice.

You can view the Design Codes and Guidelines via this link:

The Design Codes and Guidance will be adopted alongside the Neighbourhood Plan. Therefore it will be open for formal consultation at the same time as the draft Plan, later this year. In the meantime you are invited to comment by using the comments box below.

*AECOM is a multinational infrastructure consulting firm. (The name means Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Management). It has a contract with the UK Government Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) to deliver design support to local councils when they are preparing their Neighbourhood Plans. The work is fully funded by DLUHC so there is no cost to the Parish Council.
